Mathieu Kassovitz, France 1995, 97 mins, English subtitles

Mathieu Kassovitz's explosive feature tracks three twenty-somethings over 24 hours in a poor immigrant suburb of Paris, as tensions escalate after the police shooting of a local youth.  One of the defining films of the 90s, back on the big screen for its 30th anniversary with a new 4K restoration. Recommended by the BFI Film Academy.
