Meet your course tutor, Nigel Humphreys—an experienced and accomplished writer with an honours degree in English and a long-standing member of the Welsh Academy (now Literature Wales). As a founder of The Word Distillery Poets, Nigel has spent over two decades workshopping with other writers at the Arts Centre, nurturing creativity and craft.
With five poetry collections published and a sixth on the way, along with a collection of short stories—one of which was featured in Best British Short Stories 2019—Nigel brings a wealth of experience to the course. Now retired, he dedicates his time to mentoring writers like you, providing guidance, support, and inspiration at every step of your creative journey.
