Created as part of the Drama and Theatre degree at Aberystwyth University, Force of Nature is a solo performance devised by Charlie Mark that examines the growing intensity of storms through an ecological lens.
Weather impacts our lives in countless ways — from fleeting mentions in daily conversations to disruptions in our daily routines. Force of Nature dives deeper into what these increasingly extreme weather events truly mean for us and the planet we call home.
Inspired by the works of poet Mary Oliver and the poetry collection Out of Time (2021), edited by Kate Simpson. The performance text is devised by the artist, drawing on themes of nature, time, and transformation.
