An adventure through Parc Natur Penglais ( Bluebell Woods)
‘The Last Generation to Play Outside’ is an English language theatre performance by Emmie-Rose Richards created as a part of her Drama and Theatre degree at Aberystwyth University. The performance is intended for families with children aged 6-10 years old, however for safety reasons, participants must be 18 years or older. The audience are invited to participate in an exciting adventure through Penglais Woods which seeks to reiterate the importance of play and engaging with the outdoors through a series of fun activities. The performance will take place at 1pm on the 21st and 22nd of May and it will last approximately 30 minutes. We will meet on the bridge that is just through the entrance to the woods on Penglais Hill, which is opposite the main entrance to Aberystwyth University, and then we will journey through the woods together. The postcode for the university entrance is SY23 3FL.
Key Information:
The path that we will follow through the woods is uneven in places, so it is recommend that all audience members wear sturdy footwear. If the weather is poor, it is possible that the path will be muddy, so audience members should dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget your wellies if it is raining and your sun protection if it is sunny! Due to the uneven ground conditions, the performance is not suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
