Sherman Theatre and Hijinx present a musical drama about the true Welsh story of friends who changed the world.
Alan, a young man from Cardiff was born with Down’s syndrome. His dream was to live in a house and be in a band. Jim was a student in Cardiff, his dream was to make a difference in the world, but how?
When they met, they embarked on an experiment that transformed the care system and how people could live.
Performed by a cast of neurodivergent and neurotypical actor-musicians including members of Hijinx’s Aberystwyth Arts Centre based Academy, Housemates touches the heart, with plenty of 70’s hits played live. If you enjoyed 'Operation Julie' last year, you'll love Housemates.
