Booking online

For all ticketed events, you’ll find a ‘Book Now’ link on the event’s webpage. There are no credit card charges for booking online. You can request your tickets to be emailed to you as an e-ticket, or collect them at the Box Office. If you have a smartphone there is no need to print the ticket off, you can just show your phone to our ushers on entry.

If you don’t receive your ticket, and it’s not in your email junk or spam folder, then please get in touch.

If you’ve booked a concession ticket online, please remember to bring some form of validation i.e. student card with you for collection.

Group bookings

Do you have lots of friends, a big family or are you part of a club or school? We often offer discounts on tickets for groups of eight or more.

To enquire about a group booking, simply call our Box Office team on 01970 62 32 32 or email artstaff@aber.ac.uk. We’ll be able to help choose your seats and answer any questions you may have.

We can also reserve tables for your group in our café before or after matinees and before evening performances. If you’re coming in a big group and fancy staying on after the show, let us know and we’ll see if we can sort something special for you at the bar.

We want you to have a good time so if there’s anything we can do to help just let us know!

FAQs

Art and culture is for everyone. But if you have a specific access requirement, often enjoying a visit to a theatre or an arts centre can be more complicated than just booking tickets or choosing what to wear. Hynt is a national access scheme that works with venues across Wales to make things clear and consistent. Hynt cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge for a personal assistant or carer.

If you think you’re eligible for a HYNT card then our Box Office team will be happy to help you with your application or you can apply online here.

Call or email our Box Office team and they’ll be able to book your tickets over the phone or by email.

When booking an event or performance, you can choose to receive e-tickets which are emailed to you after you’ve placed your order. Upon arrival, skip the Box Office queue by simply showing your e-tickets on your mobile device to our ushers before taking your seat.

Tickets can be reserved in your name and held for four days, after which point they will be released back for sale. Tickets cannot be reserved on the actual day of the event/screening, but must be paid for in full at time of booking. Any tickets not paid for by the day of the event/screening will be released.

If for any reason you find you are unable to make a performance or screening you have booked tickets for, your tickets can be refunded as a credit note up to two days before the performance. Alternatively we can exchange your tickets for a more suitable performance of the same show or film. If a show is sold out, we will do our best to re-sell your tickets at no additional charge, but this is not guaranteed.

We can exchange your tickets for a different performance of the same show or film if there is availability.

We understand that arriving late is sometimes unavoidable. Each show has specific latecomer points. To minimise disturbance, you may be asked to wait until a convenient moment in the show before being allowed in. Please be aware that some productions do not allow latecomers.

Refunds can be given for a short course with four weeks notice. For later cancellations can not offer refunds and will still charge you the full fee.

Yes, if a class or course is cancelled by the Centre, a full refund will be given. Please contact our Box Office.

We have a baby changing room opposite the Box Office, and babies up to 18 months are welcome at events that have a child’s concession price advertised. Some family shows will offer discounts on a family ticket, but not always.

You’ll be able to see all concession prices on offer when booking a ticket. Concessions are available to:

  • disabled people
  • people aged 60+ in full time retirement
  • under 16s
  • full time students
  • people who are unemployed and in receipt of working tax credits

Babies are welcome at events that advertise a child’s concession price. Please remember to bring some form of validation i.e. student card if you ‘ve booked your tickets online.

No, our policy is that, unless we announce otherwise, photography or filming is not permitted once a performance has started out of respect to the performers.
