June 9th – Sept 14th
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. All over the country, we will remember combatants and communities. One of the war’s lesser-known aspects is that of displacement – over 60 million people were displaced in Europe alone, including many to Wales. This exhibition will include artworks, artefacts and migration stories of those displaced to Wales during the first half of the 20th century: of refugees, prisoners of war, and evacuees from elsewhere in Britain. It will also feature pieces from those who have arrived in Wales more recently due to conflict and war, including from Ukraine and Syria.
