Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) invites submissions from disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent artists from across Wales for our upcoming national touring exhibition: Effaith
This ambitious project will showcase powerful and innovative visual art by disabled artists at five leading arts venues across Wales, running from February 2026 to March 2027.
About the Exhibition
Effaith (Impact) will explore themes of nature, landscape and climate justice through the lens of disability. The exhibition offers audiences across Wales an opportunity to engage with disabled perspectives on one of the most urgent issues of our time.
We are seeking work in any visual art form, including (but not limited to): painting, drawing, sculpture, moving image, photography, mixed media, sound, digital, and installation.
Touring Venues
The exhibition will tour to:
● Galeri, Caernarfon
● Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham
● g39, Cardiff
● The Riverfront, Newport
● Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Aberystwyth
Each venue will also host public workshops led by exhibiting artists
Who Can Apply
We welcome submissions from:
● Disabled, d/Deaf and/or neurodivergent artists based in Wales
● Disabled, d/Deaf and/or neurodivergent artists from elsewhere in the UK with a strong connection to Wales
● Individual artists, collectives, or collaborative groups
We especially encourage applications from those who face multiple barriers to participation, including artists from racialised communities, LGBTQIA+ artists, and those with intersecting identities.

What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in:
● Work that is exhibition-ready (framed or formatted for public display)
● Work that responds to the theme of Effaith (Impact) – nature or disability and climate justice
● Work that can be safely transported and exhibited across multiple venues
Support for Selected Artists
Artists selected for the exhibition will receive:
● Curatorial support and mentoring
● Full coverage of transport and installation costs
● Access support (please outline your requirements in your application)
● Publicity, documentation and promotion of your work
How to Submit
Submit your application via https://dacymru.fillout.com/2025exhibition by 12 midday on 22 October 2025.
We accept written, audio, or video applications.
Your submission should include:
● A short artist statement (max 200 words)
● Up to 3 images or media files of the work you’d like to exhibit
● An access rider or brief outline of any access requirements
● Your contact details and any relevant links (website, social media)

Timeline

● Exhibition launch: February 2026
