Toni De Jesus was born in the UK but grew up in Madeira (Portugal), returning to England in 2008. He eventually moved to Wales to study at Cardiff School of Art & Design (2015-18), where he graduated and established his practice. This exhibition is his personal response to the six-hundred-year history of ceramics in Madeira, the stories, songs, and folklore of the region. It explores issues of identity and migration, belonging and not belonging.
