RR1 10am-12pm or DS1&2 3-5pm – Junior Group

DS1&2 5pm-7pm – Senior Youth / Community.

JUNIOR GROUP 9+

We are looking for 2 groups of 15 talented actors, singers and dancers to play the Munchkins who welcome Dorothy to the land of Oz in Act One. The Munchkins are enthusiastic lively and fun, they smile a lot and several of those chosen will play the lead roles and have some lines. Everyone chosen will sing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, We Welcome You to Munchkinland and Follow the Yellow Brick Road/We’re off to See the Wizard,

SENIOR YOUTH GROUP/COMMUNITY Ages 14+

We are looking for 2 groups of 15 talented actors, singers and dancers to play the Emarald City citizens of OZ in Act Two. They are in several songs in Act 2 including Merry Old Land of Oz and play various Ozian characters as they welcome Dorothy, The Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow to their city. They may also play the winged monkey’s and Wicked Witch of the West’s guards, etc.

It is possible to request to do all performances if you are in this group.

Three of the strong singers in group may also be required to do some close harmony singing in Act One.

DATES

There will be some music rehearsals in June.

Main rehearsals will begin on 7th July and the show opens on the 8th August.

The final performance is on August 31st.

The full rehearsal and performance schedule will be announced after casting.
